A Message from Piccasi

I’m absolutely crazy about art—all art.
The good, the bad, and even the ugly.

Yet, I get it: for many, art feels distant or impractical. What’s the use of art, anyway?

To me, art isn’t just about objects hung in galleries or displayed on walls. It’s the subtle, transformative touches that elevate ordinary life—lighting candles for dinner, pausing to smell a flower, or offering a kind word to a stranger. Art, for me, is a way of living.

But I also understand how hectic life can be, leaving little time to appreciate these moments of beauty. That’s why my paintings are simple and minimalistic. And yes—anyone can create their own version of my work. In fact, I encourage you to try!

What could be more meaningful to display on your wall than something you’ve created yourself? Don’t aim for perfection—just be yourself. Your unique perspective is what makes your art special. If you feel unsure about where to start, why not copy one of my pieces? Creativity is like a faucet: nothing flows until you turn it on. But once you do—watch out.

Art and Society

Art never exists in isolation. It’s intertwined with society, economics, and politics, reflecting the collective consciousness of a specific time in history.

When we talk about art, we’re really talking about worldviews—what mattered most at a particular moment.

Do you agree with my worldview?

 FAQs

  • Everything! As Tolstoy once said, "What is in our souls slipped in some other day, when we were busy doing something else." I find that so true. It’s why I believe we must be mindful of what surrounds us—our environment has an incredible influence on who we are and how we think.

When it comes to my paintings, my inspirations are a blend of my favorite artists, including Hilma af Klint, Picasso, Matisse, Warhol, and Banksy. Their creativity shapes my work and pushes me to find my own twist in minimalistic, modern art.

  • All my paintings are minimalistic because I strive to capture the essence of the subject I’m painting. In my (not so humble) opinion, an artist’s true job is to take complex ideas and express them in the simplest, most impactful way possible. Minimalism allows me to strip away the noise and focus on what really matters.

  • True, I’m pære dansk (as we say in Denmark). So why is this website—and some of my painting titles—in English?

The main reason is accessibility. Using English helps me reach a broader audience. While I’m incredibly proud of my Danish roots, Denmark is a relatively small country with a relatively small population. Fortunately, most Danes speak English fluently, so when a struggling artist has to choose between Danish or English, it makes sense to cast a wider net.

Another reason is that writing in my second language often makes it easier to distill and clearly express what’s in my heart.

  • I don’t create art on commission. All my original pieces are part of a larger, interconnected story. If I started making commissioned works, I fear it would disrupt the narrative—making it impossible to piece the puzzle together 100 years from now.

That said, you’re more than welcome to order printed versions of my originals! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me via phone or email:
